Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the Cat Breed Identifier & Pet ID mobile application (the "Application") operated by IOBits Technologies ("Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our").


By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Application.


Use of the Application


The Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.


You agree not to:


Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the Application

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by applicable law

Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

Use the Application for unlawful purposes

Interfere with or attempt to compromise the security or operation of the Application

AI-Powered Cat Identification


The Application provides AI-powered cat breed identification features.


Identification results are generated using artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, complete, or reliable. The results are provided for general informational purposes only and should not be considered professional veterinary, medical, or other professional advice.


You should not rely solely on an identification result when making decisions concerning the health, treatment, safety, or well-being of an animal.


Images Submitted to the Application


Certain features may allow you to submit images for identification.


You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit any image you upload or otherwise provide through the Application.


Images submitted for AI-powered identification may be processed through third-party AI services, including Google's Gemini API, in order to provide the requested functionality.


Please do not submit images containing sensitive personal information unless necessary for using the relevant feature.


Intellectual Property


The Application, including its software, design, graphics, text, trademarks, logos, and other content, is owned by or licensed to the Service Provider and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.


These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Application or its intellectual property rights to you.


Subscriptions and In-App Purchases


The Application may offer subscriptions or other in-app purchases.


Where applicable, subscription pricing, billing periods, free trials, introductory offers, renewal terms, and other applicable conditions will be displayed before purchase.


If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store, payment and subscription management are handled through your Apple account and Apple's in-app purchase system.


Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's applicable subscription rules.


You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings.

Advertisements


The Application may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob.


The availability and content of advertisements may vary depending on factors such as location, device, advertising settings, and applicable consent requirements.


Third-Party Services


The Application may use third-party services to provide certain functionality, advertising, AI processing, crash reporting, and other technical services.


These services may include:


Internet Connection and Data Charges


Certain features of the Application require an active internet connection.


You are responsible for any internet, mobile data, roaming, or other charges imposed by your network or service provider.


The Service Provider is not responsible for charges imposed by your mobile network or internet provider.


Application Updates and Availability


We may release updates, improvements, or changes to the Application from time to time.


We may also discontinue or modify certain features or services where reasonably necessary.


You are responsible for installing available updates when necessary for the Application to function properly.


Disclaimer


The Application and its features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.


The Service Provider does not guarantee that:


The Application will always be available or uninterrupted

The Application will be free from errors or technical problems

AI-generated identification results will always be accurate

The Application will meet every user's particular requirements


The AI identification feature is intended for informational purposes and should not replace professional advice from a qualified veterinarian or other appropriate professional.


Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Application.


Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.


Termination


We may suspend or terminate access to the Application where reasonably necessary, including where a user materially violates these Terms or applicable law.


Upon termination, your right to use the Application will end and you should stop using the Application and delete it from your device.


Privacy


Your use of the Application is also subject to our Privacy Policy.


Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, processed, and shared in connection with the Application.


Governing Law


These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Service Provider, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.


Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.


Changes to These Terms


We may update these Terms from time to time.


When changes are made, we will update the effective date displayed at the beginning of these Terms. Where required by applicable law, additional notice will be provided.
